1998 Controllership Award Winners Announced

In recognition of significant efforts and superior performance associated with Controllership, GE Capital recognized five employees with 1998 Controllership Awards.

Joan Amble, vice president and controller for GE Capital, explained that controllership is “a value-added, unyielding commitment to compliance, effectiveness of business process, and integrity of communication.”

The annual awards recognize those individuals that have excelled in controllership by:
Driving Six Sigma processes that create defect-free environments
Developing core teams that excel in all facets of controllership
Leading significant controllership projects
Integrating key business objectives with key controllership objectives
Enhancing the business control environment

“The efforts of the following individuals are a testament to their continued pursuit of sound Controllership as a method of creating an environment geared to the achievement of our business objectives,” noted Amble.
