“GE Capital has an enormous wealth of resources,” said Laurie Mellen, corporate IT communications leader. “With the Exchange, our objective is to use existing knowledge, so that our businesses do not have to spend time or money tackling a technology problem that another business has already solved."
While an industry expert presents at each Exchange broadcast, the primary focus of the program is a GE best practice.
In 1999, the US will host 12 conferences in addition to two sessions in Europe and one in Asia.
Knowledge Exchange is held every second Wednesday of the month. All GE Capital employees can
