Question : What is your experience with streaming video, rich media technologies, chat & community technology, etc? Give us an example of each where applicable.
Answer : Streaming Video
At ISI I dealt a lot with taking Real Audio and Real Video files, making them downloadable from isi.org.
Recently, I have been using a lot progressive streaming to broadcast Joaquin Phoenix TV appearances.
I capture with WinTV in .mpg format, do basic editing in nanoPEG 3.2, advanced editing (eg. masking) with Quicktime Pro. Within the past month, have been encoding into Windows Media as well.

Started learning more advanced techniques with Flash MX, and recently upgraded to MX 2004 to learn ActionScript 2.0.
Before Flash, I created an interactive site tour in Authorware (Macromedia), as well as programmed for web-based training.

With the demise of my local (and only) alternative radio station (like FNX), I have started to use the chat format IRC to keep in touch with fellow fans and former employees.
Worked with Harris Publishing to create a complete Community for ISI Alumni.
