Dr. Black is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Pace University. Her specialty is legal and political philosophy. Founder and editor or Vera Lex, journal of the Natural Law Society, which she established in Basel, Switzerland in 1979, Professor Black also serves as associate editor of natural law studies for the Value Inquiry Book Series. Professor Black has written 40 scholarly articles and made numerous presentations on various aspects of law and politics; her articles "Natural Law" and "Dignity" appear in The Philosophy of Law: An Encyclopedia (Garland, 1999).
