Dr. Nisbet taught Sociology at Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley, and was Adjunct Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. He authored several books including The Quest for Community (Oxford University Press, 1953) and Twilight of Authority (Oxford University Press, 1975).
