Joseph Pappin III is professor of philosophy in the Division of Continuing Education Academic Programs at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He is the author of The Metaphysics of Edmund Burke, and has published articles on Augustine, Aquinas, Burke, Sartre, Maritain, Yves Simon, Kierkegaard, Karl Rahner, and Karol Cardinal Wojtyla in such journals as Philosophy Today, the Thomist, Modern Age, and the American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly. He is currently President of The Edmund Burke Society of America.
