ISI Books at American Political Science Association
Several editors and staff were on hand to represent ISI Books during the national convention of the
American Political Science Association (APSA), held over the Labor Day weekend in San Francisco.
This annual event is the largest meeting of political scientists in the country, drawing thousands of participants.
Dozens of orders for individual purchases were handled by our staff, and professors made arrangements for bulk purchases of
ISI titles for classroom use. Particularly popular were the ISI Guides to the Major Disciplines. Subscriptions were processed for ISI's
line of journals as well.
Among the ISI authors featured on panels at the convention were
Harvey C. Mansfield, Peter Augustine Lawler, Paul Rahe, James Stoner, and Gary L. Gregg.
The convention also provided an opportunity for ISI editors to meet with prospective new authors.
ISI Books has a growing reputation for quality among political scientists, and many academics say that they find ISI Books an attractive publisher when they seek to reach a larger audience of thoughtful readers beyond their professional colleagues.
