ISI and ISI Books recently enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the publication of two important books dealing with higher education. Recalling Education, by Hugh Mercer Curtler, and the revised and expanded edition of ISI's best-selling college guide, Choosing the Right College, edited by Winfield J. C. Myers, were highlighted at a book party held at Chicago's University Club on Thursday, May 31st. The two-hour reception, attended by friends and supporters of ISI and ISI Books, included remarks from Professor Curtler and Mr. Myers, who then answered questions concerning their books and the state of higher education.


Following the success of the University Club reception, several members of the ISI Books staff attended Book Expo America at McCormick Place in Chicago from June 1-3.

This annual exhibition is the largest book industry trade show in the United States. ISI Books author Hugh Mercer Curtler attended the show and made a guest appearance at the ISI Books booth, signing complimentary copies of Recalling Education for visitors. Attendees were impressed with the quality books published by ISI Books and offered positive comments concerning the titles on display. ISI's Student Guides to the Major Disciplines were especially well received. The show provided a valuable opportunity for ISI Books staff members to network with other publishers, booksellers, media personnel, and friends of ISI.
