NYC Mayor presents prestigious journalism award to ISI Books author
Mayor Bloomberg presented Victor Davis Hanson, co-author of ISI Books' Bonfire of the Humanities and contributor to Patriot Sage, with the 4th annual Breindel Award for Excellence in Journalism on June 11 at the Harvard Club in New York City. Hanson won the $10,000 award on the 9-month anniversary of the terrorist attacks for essays that appeared in the Wall Street Journal, City Journal, and National Review, which dealt with the city's response to the tragedy. The Breindel Award honors the memory and work of Eric Breindel, a New York Post journalist who died at age 42 in 1998, and was well known for writings on his love of the United States and democracy.
