New book gets to the core of current conflicts

ISI's latest title, The Clash of Orthodoxies: Law, Religion, and Morality in Crisis, is an important, straightforward work by renowned author and Princeton political philosopher Robert George. Dr. George is presently the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton, and has also served as an award-winning Judicial Fellow at the U. S. Supreme Court, as well as Presidential Appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights.

In The Clash of Orthodoxies, Professor George defends the Judeo-Christian tradition as rationally superior to the secular liberal alternative in terms of recent moral and legal conflicts in biotechnology, the court of law, and institutions such as marriage. The Clash of Orthodoxies will shock liberals out of an unwarranted complacency and provide powerful ammunition for embattled defenders of traditional morality.
