ISI in New Orleans
On September 22, ISI presented its books and journals in New Orleans at a regional meeting of the
Philadelphia Society,
one of the nation's premier conservative membership organizations. The theme of the meeting,
"Taming Leviathan: The Decentralist and Regionalist Vision," dovetailed nicely with many ISI Books volumes,
including the recently published Wilhelm Röpke. John Zmirak, the author of that volume,
was in attendance, as were many other ISI Books authors, editors, and contributors.
Some were featured speakers at the gathering, including E. Christian Kopff (author of The Devil Knows Latin),
Ted J. Smith (editor of Steps Toward Restoration), Ellis Sandoz (author of Political Apocalypse),
and George Carey (editor of Freedom and Virtue).
